Default iQ Wins Open Event, German Vacation!

http://www.ampedesports.com/news/2553

It is altogether likely that someone had a nervous breakdown this weekend. At some point during the 72 hour Open Event, I can clearly see the potential for a descent into madness, culminating in a fairly embrassing self-proclamation as the King of Mountain Dew and Cheez-It snacks. There's an inflatable buffalo involved somewhere in there as well, but it's unclear as to what role it played.

Needless to say, three straight days of video gaming might not have been the healthiest method for finding the sixth and final seed at the GWFC Finals, but it was by far the most entertaining!

iQ deserved that ticket, but I find this weekend event ridiculous.
Almost top guilds who have chance to win ( emt,RenO, KGYU, iQ, MH, WM Universal) run smite or dual smite ( not the whole event but mostly). I used to expect a match between 2 guilds of them but when I watch one match, what happened ?
Both guilds run to fight 8 vs 8 ( or 7 vs 7) at flag stand. Who can keep better, did more kills and can push other guild to base would mostly win the match. And I didn't see any other tactic. Now Im still taking a break from watching observer mode >.<

when you're in a situation to get into that last spot, I wouldn't be surprised to have seen most guilds try to play the game in the safest way possible.

Yup, that's a bad way to choose the 6th guild to go to Germany

They had better have won it. They were the only guild running dual smite with their patented W/R retreat war and then EVERY guild in the running decided to copy their build. If they would have lost to a guild who switched to iQs build after iQ tore them a new one I would have been seriously disappointed.

By the end of day 3 one is incapable of tactics more complicated than 'get them'.

Peace,

well MH ran their usual balanced build they always run. Personally i was hoping they would win, but iQ definently deserve to go as well.
